    First some positive news:
I like to express my gratitude to Stoobs, who adapted the design where the clips are replaced by rods that can take magnets for the case closure.

    Now slightly negative news:
It seems that the interest in this project has come to a hold and we're now at 8 interested persons, instead of the intended 10. This will have a negative price impact, as displayed on the front page. Although the manufacturer can offer a resolution of 0.2mm, it will also have a small negative price impact. All-in-all, I still think that the price will remain < € 200,-

Personally, I have a preference for the magnetic version.

But, the question is... Do you agree with me?

Any other enthusiasts that wants to join this project??

I've recieved the quote already some time ago, but waited because I wanted to inform you about the power button option as well. That took me a little more time than anticipated, I'm sorry for that.

    So now the update:
The group buy is now at 10 pieces, the small text and symbol inscriptions will be milled with an radii of 0.2mm and the surface finish is bead blasted, clear anodized aluminium (6061).

The price for 10 front panels, including VAT is € 1808,34. In other words the front panel will cost € 180,83 each.

The available power buttons are in the wrong format, so needed to be converted to .step files. I've been in contact with the author of the powerbutton found on thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2805236) and he agreed to share the FreeCAD file with me so I could adapt the design a little. I've removed the holes on the bottom side, unfortunately the hole for the power rod also dissapeared. So you probably need a 3D printed powerbutton rod and attach it to the button. I imagine that a hole could be drilled, thread can be tapped and a powerrod with tread could be printed... I will see if I can supply you with the 3D printfile of the power rod and/or a 3D printed version if you whish.

The price for 10 power buttons (only the button part, without the rod), including VAT is € 203.88. In other words the power button will cost € 20.39 each.

The total will add up to € 201.22 per set, without shipping to your home address.

I don't know the weight of the front panel yet, however, the weight should be limited and I think that the shipping prices from the Netherlands are really fair compared to other countries.

To give you an idea about the shipping rates:
    Spain/Germany/Italy/France Norway USA
    0 – 2 kg 2 – 5 kg 0 – 2 kg 2 – 5 kg 0 – 2 kg 2 – 5 kg
    No tracking € 9.80 N/A € 12.60 N/A € 18.20 N/A
    Track&Trace € 13.00 € 19.50 € 18.50 € 25.00 € 24.30 € 34.30
    T&T insurance < € 500 € 18.00 € 24.50 € 23.50 € 30.00 € 29.30 € 39.30
