Hi everyone. New here and to the Amiga. Long story short, I inherited a few Amigas. An A2000, A3000, A4000 and A1200. The A1200 is in the best condition and I'm working on getting it serviced so it will have many more years to go. The others, not so much. The 2000 and 3000 do seem to work, minus a few hiccups (I'm not in possession of any WB disks, working on it). The A4000, not so much luck. I've torn them down to find the batteries have been removed, but the corrosion has happened. I'm including a few pics to get some info on whether I should try to salvage the boards, or if the financial costs would not be worth it.

A4000 (the worst)

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

That's right, you would need an experienced person to fix them. We've all seen worse and better mobos. The A2000 seems to be the less "injured" of the three, whereas the A4000 the worst. It would need repairing the tracks and replacing the memory sockets too as far as i can see.

I agree they need someone experienced. I will eventually dig around to see if anyone want to accept the challenge. Thanks for the input
