Hi All

Here is my Amiga 1200 power tower setup, some stuff i have done via hacks / mods but it works great.
Here a list of hardware I got.
Blizzard PPC (no scsi) 68060 @ 50mhz and PPC @ 330MHZ
New A1200 motherboard rev 1.3
Elbox pc keyboard Adpater
elbox Mediator ZIV
Elbox ZIV Busboard
Elbox ZIV fastAta ide controller
2mb Pcmcia ram card
voodoo 3 3000 pci card
pci sound card
pci TV card
Voodoo exhaust fan to keep voodoo cool
Zorro prisma megamix sound card
Zorro X-surf-100 ethernet card with rapidRoad usb adapter
2x ide hard drives
dvd / cdrw combo ide drive
cinnon 1.76mb HD drive
Hcx Floppy Emulator drive
external cumana 880k floppy drive
usb 4x port hub with card reader
lcd display for fan speed time etc
auto mouse / joypad switcher
Auto monitor switcher
home made kickswitch kick 3.0 and 3.1 roms due to some floppy games like GODS don't work on kick3.1 only kick 3.0 or older.
500w atx power supply
2x shark 12cm blue led fans to keep amiga cool

I have made some mods / hacks
first is the kickswitch i found that some games like Gods don't work with kickstart 3.1, even if I relo kick to kickstart 1.3 to make it A500 it still will not work as it still see kickstart 3.1 roms, so i made this kickstart switcher so can play games like Gods etc.

Other mods
switch for what drive is df0 either chinon real drive or the Hcx floppy emulator when i what to play floppy games.
switch to disable / enable all zorro cards / mediator cards when i do this i go back to basic A1200 motherboard floppy base only
switch for pcmcia when zorro / mediator is active then pcmcia don't work due to mediator take the address space but when i disable the zorro / mediator boards then i want to run floppy games then need i bit more ram the i just enable the switch and i got 2mb fast ram.

Very nice! I have similar components from the late 90's onwards, but at the moment none of it is put together as a system since moving house..

envious!!

Very Nice ;)

thanks trapshot, i am torn between a1200 or a4000 with same setup

Keep Both lol

I got my similar 1200 setup, love the dual Zorro/PCI slots

I'm interested in knowing more about this mod
Other mods

it just a basic switch which the sel0 signal (pin 10) from internal pin header via cable is cut and rerouted to a 2 way switch which then connected the sel0 signal ( pin 10 on both drives) to the floppy drive of my choice, both drives are selected as df0 but only one can be used any time just flick the swtich and the sel0 signal is routed to the drive. i do cut the sel1 signal (pin 12) to stop it getting confused.

Nice!!

How is the "usb 4x port hub with card reader" feed up - from where does the usb signals come from??

It connects to the Zorro X-surf-100 ethernet card with rapidRoad usb adapter and the card reader is connected to port 4 of the hub internal.
Nice!!

Cool, thanks!

Now that I've got my x-surf 100 & rapidorad I'll try some similar setup.

Can you please say something about the "lcd display for fan speed time etc" too? How is it set up and managed/softwared??
