Hi there,

I've owned my Zorro IV buboard for YEARS. I've made some standoffs that has been sort of supporting the busboard but now I've started to fill the case with Zorro-Cards and everything is feeling and looking pretty damn wonky! I have an Elbox Power (winner?) Tower with the Zorro IV busboard but apart from the standoffs that the motherboard are standing on the case or busboard didn't really come with anything (I bought them both used about 15 years ago). None of my Zorro-cards seem to fit properly. Some of them are just a couple of mm to far from the back of the case to screw in easily, and some (in the lower zorro slots) appear to lift the whole busboard a little, as if te busboard is sitting too close to the motherboard.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what I need to get this thing mounted properly. Off the shelves stuff or will I have to 3D-print parts? Does anyone know the dimensions? Or if anyone has spare mounting screws/brackets/standoffs I would love for them to get in touch with me. :)

Mine just has the 5 Metal Stand-offs and the only stand-off I dont have, is the one near the video slot enabler header

It is in a Power tower too

Those metal standoffs came with the busboard I suppose? Are they just standing on the A1200 motherboard or do they screw into it somehow? Would it be vulgar of me to ask if you wouldn't mind measuring them? I really need to get my busboard PROPERLY secured at this point, everything is just hanging around in the case. :p

I bought the complete system off here awhile back sadly when it arrived the courier had damaged it, so the case and bus-board were write-offs so I salvaged what I could i.e. the stand-offs and A1200 motherboard and the Zorro cards which survived and transplanted it in to my other power tower

There is no stand-offs over the motherboard, they are all in the area in front of the motherboard I'll see if i can get the measurements maybe Sunday.

Also I adjusted my back-plate so the cards would fit properly too, I'll get photos of it also when I do measurements.

So first the back plate....

It’s not much of a mod all I did was use nuts has spacers between the Case and the backplate bringing it inline with the PCI and Zorro cards when fitted

So cards look like this when fitted

Now for the Elbox Zorro ZIV busboard mountings.

So there are 5 metal stand-offs which measure 30mm in length.

4 of mine are holding the busboard securely in place (marked in red) with the fifth just being an extra middle support due to it being out of alignment (marked in yellow).

Now I forgot that I also made this plastic leg to rest on the motherboard near the video slot enabler header

You can see the busboard rests on the Elbox Keyboard adaptor this end

This is absolutely fantastic, timtheloon. Hugely helpful! This gets my vote for helpful response of the year :)
I've ordered some spacers, and I'll try to see if your trick with the bolts help my cards align properly as well. Awesome :)

Not a problem

I also had to do a similar trick with My A4000 Power Tower back plate, but It only needed washers instead of nuts has the spacers
