Hi guys!

I want to make a din (I belive its 6 pin) to scart Female so I can connect my snes and ps2 to my 1084s.

Can anyone who has made this please help? I have a broken cable with the din contact in one end, so I just have to add the female scart connector to the other end.

Hi.

It is doable but is not so simple as direct pin to pin soldering as de DIN connector lacks composite sync input used by the scart, it uses split syncs ( V-sync and H-sync) instead.

So you'll need to make a composite sync striper circuit with the EL1883 IC.

Also you can solder a female scart plug to the 1084S (speaking about the old boxy 1084S model wit DINs and scart pre cut hole )

See here (spanish) :

You'll need to relocate an audio cable, solder the female scart plug and close the 9289 bridge like seen there.

Hope it helps.
