Hi.
I've made an Amiga 600 Tower which I called "Sabrina 600". You may find more photos on this site: http://sabrina600.ca-fan.pl/
Everything is in Polish but maybe I translate it to English...

I left her in my country and now I'm in Ireland, so I want to make another one with more expansions...

Unfortunately my site is gone from internet so I'm posting photos below.

@Atreus

Awesome bit of hackery, thanks for sharing!

Hah :LOL: You may translate like this. I forgot about Google translate :|

The best thing is that I bought this tower for C64 mod, but realize that A600 motherboard fit perfectly there. So now C64 lies on attic and I don't know when I get back to it...

Now about photos...
On first photo brown square above power switch. There is a LEd screen that shows "07" which represent actual CPU speed ;) Below power switch I put autofire for 2nd joyport. This red button is a reset because this small near power switch is too small for reseting with fingers and my keyboard don't reset Ami :(
The worse thing is that 3rd and 4th floppy drive don't read NDOS disks. Only 1st and 2nd do that...

Excellent craftsmanship! Mod them miggies folks!!! (y)

Nice work, but i think it's a non sense to tower the smallest amiga.

@Xanxi
Maybe it's a nonsense, but I want to have all floppys, CD-ROM, HDD and other things in one case.
Sorry, but I can't achieve this in standard A600 case...

@johnim
On this board I spend about one week to think what I want there and place everything.
Unfortunatelly floppy connectors makes some difficulties like loosing floppies or not recognizing them, so I get back to flops on one tape with couple of signal wires connected to this board. Btw. Its my second PCb board which I ever made ;)
There is photo:

Here You have two photos of "A600 Tower Mk.I"

Some problems with first PCB in it forced me to start making Mk.II version :)

That tower is ideal! Very small and all the goodies inside :)
Nice work mate.

Would love to see more pics of the custom LAN/Mouse PCBs. I don't see a buffered IDE interface there. Also some ACA would make the beast a really powerful one :)

look in Samoróbki
pcb for the the design

sorry for link atreus

Please don't hotlink to pages on my site... It looks horrible, because I use frames there...

@mfilos
LAN connector is only for future. Maybe I buy PCMCIA lan card and some accelerator card. But I think that I will start here (in Ireland) with another version (Mk.III) from scratch like new A600 motherboard, new PC tower etc.
There isn't buffered IDE interface. It's simple 2,5" to 3,5" converter which was designed for PC, and I cut the board to connect it to Ami :twisted: It costs 10zl insted of 164zl ... I didn't have much money at that time, but this served me very well...

@Atreus

Very nice project, I look forward to seeing the MkIII (y)

Steve.

Awesome little tower there Atreus! Loving the pics :) Good luck with MK III.

Well, maybe it won't be A600 Tower Mk.III.
Now I'm waiting for A3000 desktop motherboard. I wanted this model from November 1991 when I read about her in polish magazine called "Bajtek". Maybe I'm a little :nuts: because on A1200 I can achieve little more, but I :drool: when I see A3000 from that time ;)
So, now I wait for this mobo and think which PC case choose for her.

Hmm... After some time, when I couldn't run my A3000 mobo I want return to my A600 Tower Mk.III plans.
Until now I have collected:
- A600 rev. 1.5
- ACA 630/25
- A604
- KS 3.1 for A500/600/2000
- Mini tower Envizage 437-09B (bought for my PIII 600MHz)
- black PC Floppy 3,5" (bought for my PIII 600MHz)
- black CD-RW (bought for my PIII 600MHz)
- PSU ATX 250W (bought for my PIII 600MHz)
- 3x HDD 3,5" Seagate 20GB (bought for my PIII 600MHz)

I've checked A600 mobo with this tower case and it fits perfectly. This tower have 36 cm height and A600 mobo is 32 cm width so it'll leave me about 3 cm of space for joystick and mouse extensions.
All of this stuff is waiting for now, because I'm doing some research with one expansion which I want to made for this project, but for now it's only planned.

Oh my. That's one impressive little tower Amiga, I love it! :drool:

Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work. If you do decide to go for a Mk III, please share lots of juicy pics with us all!

A little late, but what a fantastic project, very well done!! (y)

Don't use the rational part of your mind, if you fancy a A3000 get one(y) I did the same with my A600, I followed my heart, and actually it has been fantastic and has got me back in touch with a period of time when I was very young and at school playing around with very early modern style computers (mouse + GUI) :)

This question may be a little weird, but can someone give me a physical dimension of ACA630 ? Especially I'm interested in height of this card.
I can't check it by myself, because I sent my A600 to Poland and I must wait until I'll be at parents home to check it. It may take even half year from now. I need this to start design some addon to my tower project which wasn't dead...

ACA630 measures 107 x 22.5 x 98mm (width, height and depth).
