Hi all,

I am after some help - preferably in the form of a document that ships with the Wireless PCMCIA card adaptor available from amigakit.com.

I bought a a1200 refurbished system from amigakit around October last year and added as an option the wireless pcmcia card network kit. When the system arrived, the wireless kit only comprised of the PCMCIA card and a floppy disk NETPCM010 (the drivers). As I am relatively new to the amiga scene, it took me while to figure out that this was not enough to get me on the net - so I checked back at amigakit and viewed their listing for the wireless kit and it detailed a CD that contained the browser and other configuration goodies.

I checked their software pages, and found a CD ; EasyNet - I figured this was what is ordinarily supplied with the stand-alone kit - so bought a copy.

I managed to get through the install - but was confused by some of the setting options (I had never seen some of these before). Alas, my install does not work - and I get errors when I try to run easynet post clicking the 'go online' button.

Checking back with amigakit agian, at the wireless kit page, they mention an 11 page set-up document - I never received this document with either of my purchases and I sense this contains the answers to those set-up questions.

I have contacted amigakit via their support forum (twice now) to politely ask if they can email me a pdf of the mentioned document. It has been two weeks and they have ignored both postings - I know they normally respond quicker than this, so they are clearly not interested (given that my purchases cost £39.18 and the kit price is £40 they are not really loosing out - in my view).

So can anybody help me out here with a quick scan of their document if they have one - I would be very grateful. :)

Cheers,

Don't rely on support forum very much (everything can happen), it's better to call them straight away. They provide phone numbers. I've called Matthew in the past and he was very helpful I must say.

Also he's a member here, so sooner or later he will login and help you out, no worries. :)

Just be grateful that we have such nice people still interested and helping the Amiga community with their efforts. (y)

I am also having a problem with the card and software. The card says it is online and will ping itself but nothing else and the log message is:

S2_CONFIGINTERFACE: Inappropriate state (Attempt to config twice)

I can't install the update because the OS tells me I am missing a file/drawer.

I also have an Amiga 2500/HD on this network, so I think the Windows side is fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having exactly the same problem.

fast forward
9-12 years..
and i just purchased the easy net CD from amigakit...and wouldn't you know,
i CAN NOT even access the files on the CD using windows 10! lol
useless to me, so back to ebay i guess to buy someone's already configured card and disk drivers....
ugh

RoadShow is much faster, try that.

You know what this might sound sad but I bought from amigakit.co.uk lots of amiga stuff
Including my mediator setup and lots of other amiga stuff. I fancied easynet to file transfer
Over my network. I bought it new and never ever used it. So after packing my retro stuff away for the past few years I'm slowly digging out everything. So my story is I've set my classic amiga a600 green alien work bench up and I've hooked my squirrel cdrom up and loaded the cd stuff off the easynet cd. Now I plug my pcmcia easynet card in hook it to an ethernet cable.
I start easynet and the card is recognised to the amiga as it shows a mac address but the problem is when I start to register the software which I can't? I put my name in and in the licence box there is a 8 digit number already there which I presume is the licence key?
But then I find I have to get online obviously before it will register so I select the card and query it then it goes on to another screen where I have to put my ip details etc.. and that's where it all stops!! I continuously get the suspended software and reboot so after numerous times rebooting I can't go any further? So I've put an order through with amigakit for the updated floppy which I've provided the only number I have i did not get any documentation when buying so not sure where a serial number will be I've checked the case and cd/floppy the only number I have is in the easynet register box under licence which I'm hoping this is OK otherwise I can't get the updated floppy.
If anyone can shed some light as to why I keep getting the suspended software reboot message everything I get to the amiga/pc ip details that's much appreciated.

just a quick update i've bought the easynet update disk from amigakit and now i have installed the first easynet to my amiga500/aca500/blizzard1230iii/scsi kit the installation went great first time and then i used the easynet update disk and thats gone great. Only thing now is im waiting for my plipbox to use it but im now going to go back to the amiga 600 and do a fresh install of the easynet and then the update disk and try to config the pcmcia ethernet card and get it on my network for file transfer.

Hi i've successfully installed easynet and using plipbox im online with the amiga but now im stuck how to setup host manager to get access from the amiga to my pc (windows10) I added a host and entered my laptop thats online via wifi not ethernet cable and when pinging on easynet its pinging great but i dont see any pc shared folders on the amiga? I've enabled file sharing on my laptop but thats it? When connecting to the host on easynet it takes me to a screen connect to but in drop down of the share theres nothing in the list to click on? and connect is greyed out? how do i get my pc to be in the share list?

Im not a specialist but i don’t think you can see shared folder from a PC on the Amiga. Only option i believe is Samba file server on a NAS and SMBF on the Amiga..?
