    This is one VERY useful thread. Probably THE MOST USEFUL thread on the forum

    Default Not Amiga-specific, but a life-saver!

    Anyone wanting to back-up an Amiga formatted CF card using a Windows PC and CF reader: -

    http://www.chrysocome.net/dd

    It's a command-line util (but hey, we're Amiga users, we're clever!) which you can use to do a bit-for-bit backup of a CF card to a file.

    It works like the 'dd' command in Linux.

    I've just tested it using a 4G card. Worked perfectly!

    Mmmm....and why not just use the card under WinUAE and copy all content to your HDD, replace the card and put the new one there, and copy back ?? Am i missing something here??
