Hi,

I have for sale five extremely rare CYRIX 386->486 upgrade kits, probably the last new you can find. Each kit consist of a Cyrix 486 processor that clip on the existing 386 processor, so no need for soldering, but you can replace the cpu like i did on my board (see photos). These kits work perfectly with the Vortex Golden Gate 486SLC, and should work on every 386 bridge boards equipped with a cyrix processor.

The test for the CPU speed was made with Norton sysinfo.exe v8.

The processor feature cache management and pipelining.

The price for each kit is 80 euros + paypal fees + shipping costs.

Willy.

2 sold to Xanxi.
2 sold to Sunmax.

Last sold to A.mi.goun.

Received my items.
Will test them later.
Leaving feedback now.
Thanks.

AFAIK, these add-ons can work with any Intel 386sx chip that is at least Rev C. Rev A and Rev B don't work because they lack a signal that permits deactivation. I think they work straight with any 486sx.

@seller: remember to leave me feedback please :)

How can I find what the revision is my Intel 386SX-25 CPU on A2386SX? From the printed numbers I cannot see. By software?

There is a test program in the Cyrix 486SRX2 disk to check the Intel 386sx revision. However, i think (but not sure) that all A2386 @ 25MHz are RevC anyway.

I have received mine and it works great on my A2386SX! I added a small fan on the heatsink because it gets quite hot and I dont want to risk anything to lose this dreamed upgrade! Thanks WillyCat - Feedback on the way.
