Hi all,

After tweaking and adjusting stuff, my friend Layerz has produced some 3D printed end caps for the SX-64 handle. (y)

I know some people like me, have these missing :(

They are based on the design by Erwin-c64 mentioned in Berry's post here:

https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=55402&highlight=sx64&page=3

There have been some slight modifications to work with Layerz printer - holes, indent for handle lock and locator pin have been removed. I think Layerz basically had to re-design the model but they're basically the same and I'll think you'll agree, better than looking at the screw heads!

The surface is not as smooth as we hoped but its certainly acceptable. You'll need to stick them on with double sided tape or something similar once you've cleaned the previous gunk out of the housing.

Colours available are blue or black (as pictured).

Price is £5 per pair (sterling) + PayPal (or use gift) + postage (I should be able to post them as normal letter post).

These CAPS will be printed to order so may take a couple of days to organise.

Please PM me if you require any.

Thanks

You can stick them with glue if you want but you may want to remove them at some point. I stuck mine on with double sided sticky pads. It's too difficult to print them so they click into the recess perfectly.
I think the originals were stuck using double sided tape judging from the gunk I removed before fitting these.

I think the originals were stuck on with double sided tape. All of the ones I've worked on have had a ring of double sided tape, machine cut.

Love to say it was my idea but Berry brought it to our attention and Layerz had the printer... I'm just the peddler :D

(@Kraken34, you may not be able to send / receive PM's as your post count is possibly too low)
