Blitz3D is now open source!


You can also download the final release version of Blitz3D from this site for free - please see the 'shop' page(In Blitzbasic forum) above for more details.

It's a MSVC 6.0 project (which I have installed on a version of XP running in vmware) but it should be possible to upgrade the non-MFC projects (ie: everything except IDE and Debugger ) to later versions of MSVC.


The only major difference between this one and the commercial version is that the commercial version has fmod 'baked' in - the open source version uses fmod via DLL instead.

IF you dont have account on Blitzbasic then you need to create one to get Free Blitz 3D Product and I have say it is Excellent programing langauge that can do 2D or 3D :)

One of the guys is doing Blitz Hardwired - DX9 and DX11 Userlib for Blitz 3D on Blitzbasic forum and he updated very often !
