Yesterday I set up a cheap no-brand wireless IP camera and set a ddns.net account etc (for it work remotely) and it worked fine. I even used it remotely from out and all was good.

This morning I switched on my NAS (LG-NAS) as it had been off for ages and left home for work.

Now at work I try to connect to the camera and it connected but very VERY V E R Y slow. (xxxxxx.ddns.net:8050)

I can also connect to the LG NAS :/ xxxxxxx.ddns.net:80 - That connects faster than the camera and works a little better though still slow

I dont get it! Is there anything I can check from work or later when I get back home ?

Any idea if i can access the router/modem from work ?

I even tried connecting remotely direct to my IP address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8050) and it is still slow

what are the results if you perform a tracert command from work?

Hi,
There could be problems with the ddns server. First I would set a direct connection without using ddns. Get the public IP that is assigned to your WAN (I know that it's probably a dynamic one but it's still stay the same for a while) then tracert and ping this ip. If the timings are OK there must be something wrong with the ddns server if not something gone wrong on the side of your ISP. Also your router/modem may not be able to handle as much remote services. The cheap one are often loosing breath when handling remote services. Do you connect to your remote devices from a VPN?
PS. I would using remote services on a non secure socket layer (SSL). Especially a remote access to a NAS.

Yesterday from work I had tried to connect using the IP address directly and it was the same, slow. So not a problem with DDNS.

When I got home I tried again connecting, first using my laptop which is connected to my wireless. It worked fine of course. Then I connected with my phone on 3G and it was slow as hell, just like at work.

I then switched the LG Nas server OFF and everything worked fine. Its like there is some conflict involving the NAS.

The NAS uses port 80 and my IPCAM uses 8050
