Hello my friends,

I am clearing out some old lot of stuffs so today - ready to go are 4 Sinclair Spectrum IDE kits

LL_top_001_1.jpg

Each Kit includes

1x Z80 Universal IDE Adaptor Rev3.1E
2x W27E257 Winbond EEPROM (freely programmed for +3e)
1x 15CM IDE Cable
1x CF to IDE Adaptor
1x 128MB CF card (freely programmed and ready to go)
1x 4pin Power molex connector
1x 20 page installation and +3e DOS guide.

All that lot for £25 + postage

I only have four kits available so first come first served and postage will be this Friday.

Have a look at the installation and +3e DOS guide here

I have also created some guides on how to get the most out of the adaptor kit-

How to Create and Write Images
How to Add Files and Snapshots
How to Load Snapshots
Adding and Converting TAP files

For more support click here for and updates to the CF click here

So what can this adaptor kit do for you ?

If you have a BLACK Spectrum +2 (A or B)

Or

Spectrum +3

Then not only can you store games and applications on the card, but as well as reading you can write to the card like a big fat disk.

I write a lot of programs on the FUSE emulator and then I transfer them to the Card for booting on a Spectrum +2AB/+3 - if you are into Spectrum's and like a bit more than just gaming then this is the adaptor for you.

Here is an overview of the kit in action

This was set up for use with an event that Replay had been doing in Rotherham (hence the spash screens) - the CF card included does not have these

Here is an older overview of the DOS and homebrew capabilities of the adaptor

I hope that helps, remember I only have four left ;) =)

I wasn't going to spend any more money on computer bits this year until I saw this!

I'll take one please. :)

Sadly I doubt it would work on the Zx81 without a complete rewrite of the ROM, however there is an ROM that would allow this adaptor to work on a 48k / 48k+ / 128k ( Toast Rack) or the Amstrad Spectrum +2 128k (Grey).

The ROM was developed by Pera Putnik (a very clever guy) and he developed his own DOS system "Charea"

Sadly I have not had time to have a play with this, as its a little more invloved in preparing a suitable Drive / Card - sadly the ROM is only in Spanish - which out of the 47 languages I can speak*, Espagnol is not one of them

*please note these are computer programming languages ;)

You can find out more on his site by clicking here

I do plan to get some time and redevelop the ROM for English support, but time is a fickle beast at best.

Hello,
I take one if it's possible to send it to France.

Thanks in advance
Erik

@Athanor

Bonjour mon ami

Of course I can ship to France =)

Postage to France is £5.50 untracked (insured for £20) or £10.50 with full insurance and tracking =)

If you are interested just hit me up in PM with your details and we can sort it out from there.

=)

@Sweetlilmre

I do have one left my friend,

If you are interested, postage to South Africa is

Untracked (insured for £20) £5.50
Tracked (insured for £50) £12.50

Sadly it is the last one - until I make any more, probably after Christmas.

Ahh seems I am the one to miss out!

Interested if anyone else pulls out or if you make any new kits.
