I have a Japanese white MacBook 1st gen, Core Duo 2.0 ghz, 2gb ram and no hard disk, the macbook was working perfectly until last week when I put it to sleep and since then it as refused to turn on. I am not sure if it is the logic board which I had replaced only 6 months ago or if the video inverter has died. So it is good for parts, i.e if you need a body with a Japanese keyboard, the battery still lasts 2 and half hours and the screen is in good condition with no dead pixels. I was looking for 10,000 yen / £75 / $115. It is probably a very easy solution to fix it but I don`t have the time. It is a great little laptop!

Hi Ami - Can I register my interest please? What's the approx postage to the UK? Also I take it the KB can be replaced with the UK one?

Cheers

John

Oh and can you post me the exact model number and maybe a photo of it please?

Hello John, I believe it can be changed for an English keyboard, I think it involves changing the top part of the MacBook. The model number is A1181.
Postage to the UK is 5,400 yen via EMS 3 days or 5,000 yen via SAL Economy Airmail 2-3 weeks, the parcel weight is 2.2 kg.

Hi certainly, to Greece it is the same price, 5,400 yen EMS or 5,000 yen SAL :)

Second in line.:)

P&p to Greece please? xD

Thanks Ami but I think I will pass as I've done some research now and it seems like it may either be the DC in board (which if it is is really cheap to fix) or more likely the logic board and I can't get one of them for less than £200. Thanks anyway - over to you Status
