    Hi all,

I'm still having issues with running Wipeout, but I've a few things to try still with that. In the meantime waiting for new hardware to arrive, I decided to see if I could get it to boot a bit more quickly. I changed my Startup-Sequence to use BlizKick instead of SetPatch to load the ROM changes to 3.9 - for prosterity, I changed the first section to:

Blizkick * EXTRESBUF=165000 HOGWAITBLIT SpeedROM MODULE BPPCFix BPPCFix040 BBlank NewAlert ROMFIXES SpeedyIDE NoClick MoveVBR FixMath404 MuMove4k FixGetMsg scsi.device FastFileSystem Filesystem.Resource console.device Ram-Handler romupdate.idtag shell Bootmenu exec.library NOPUPREBOOT KEEPEXEC QUIET
    SetPatch NOROMUPDATE QUIET

    Anyways, new hardware has arrived:

Which will fit here quite nicely:

And I've now modified the USB cable to fit under my SCSI cable off of the rear of the BPPC - just need to make holes and fit

And I discovered why the CD Audio wasn't working...

lol - will get to work on fitting the RapidRoad properly soon

More installation stuff today, put some blobs on the RapidRoad to make it stay put when the machine is assembled - the long blob on top squished down when I reinserted the keyboard:

I altered the clock-port cable to make it more amenable, I also re-routed the CD-Audio cable:

Sugru'd in the USB ports once I'd opened up appropriate spaces; I used the same horizontal positions as marked on the case, but closer to the bottom:

The RapidRoad sits nicely where I want it to stay, and doesn't move when the keyboard is in - still removable though!

The USB ports look good from the outside too:

Just need to hot-glue the USB cable into place tomorrow so that I can reassemble for a while again - unless the SD card extension turns up, in which case I'll fit that too

    Aaaaaaaaaaannnd it's all in

Works lovely too - unfortunately I've discovered that some of the memory on my BVision isn't as it should be. Looking to find someone that can replace it (the memory) - might pick somewhere it hasn't travelled to yet; it's certainly more travelled than myself! Edit: After a trip to Hese, it's now working exactly as it should

Another little mod today - fitted a MicroSD to SD extension to breakout the SCSI2SD card to the rear:

Which looks pretty good at the rear too:

Should save me a lot of hassle when I want to back it up!

Yup - they're all related to the RF modulator that was removed

What caps are those? Your pictures don't show up for me.

    Hi there,

I re-uploaded those pictures - If you've an ad-blocker, you might not see them still.

    Best,

In the quest to improve boot times on my Amiga, I'm now looking to have a custom set of ROM's made. Currently every reboot (I think there's still 2 or 3 during boot at the moment) there's a 20 second delay whilst it decides that there's no bootable device on the IDE. Dropping scsi.device from the ROM's altogether should sort that, maybe including atapi.device instead and maybe the Poseidon bits too.

You can also use an IDE terminator to minimise IDE (lack of) detection delay.
