Hi:
I use lightwave on pc, and brilliance on amiga.
I was also thinking about getting lw 5 for amiga.
I called newtek and they told me lw for amiga is no longer supported.
It means if you get a copy of lightwave, when you install you cannot
'activate' the license, for you got the get the license number from newtek
to make lightwave work. Newtek will not give you the license number,
so you cannot activate lightwave. So you cannot use lightwave on amiga.

I thought it just required the dongle on the parallel port?
Activating licenses online is a more recent method of copy protection is it not?
Can anyone verify this?
Anyhow, still interested if there's a copy floating around out there...

Not advocating the alternative but I don't think there is any legal way you are going to activate Lightwave 5 on your Amiga. It's the same problem with Adobe CS6 software on the Mac/PC. It was the last stand alone version of the suite and yet Adobe will no longer sell it to you!! Madness.
