Iridium (early alpha)

Latest build including:
- new background graphic layers
- update logo shader effect
- added background story as a vertical scroll text
- new enemy sprites
- reskinned level 1-1 & 1-2
- new desert tile-set
- shock-waves added to explosions

Range of in game clips showing different environment and weapon configurations.

This update includes:
- Updated sprite sizes by around 20%
- Player shots now hi-lights wall edges
- Reskinned 3 stages to level 1
- Launcher graphic change
- Critical overlay added to launcher

First use of Lightworks video editor which seems pretty good.

This pretty much the version to be shown at the 'Milton Keynes' get together :)

Multi part enemy ships
  • Unlimited number of parts
  • Unlimited number of attached objects
  • Supports depth / parallax effect
  • Added support for radar dishes and general greeble
  • Added support for engine effects which are scaled by reactor health

This is the current end of level 1-1 enemy. This is made using 17 parts at 4 different parallax depths (joining sections). This system is going to be used to produce smaller and much larger enemy ships :)
