Battery damaged or capacitor corroded motherboard or accelerator? Motherboard not detecting Fast memory or Zorro cards? Broken audio? Hardware simply not working at all anymore? Don't worry, most of the times the hardware is still repairable (if parts are available).

Well, if anyone should still hesitate despite his references and reputation,allow me to assure you that 'hese' is the to-go-to person for all your hardware problems and services. He's done an amazing job on my A4000D boards, gave very good feedback, priced his services fair and transparent and even surprised me with pretty fast processing. I'm certain there's quite a few dedicated repair-guys and -gals out there, breathing life back into crippled Amiga hardware - but sadly a lot of them eventually fall flat in either feedback, pricing or speediness.

I've added an option to replace overheating PAL chips of A3000 motherboard with cooler running replacement parts.

As a side note, received a BVision PPC card that had a capacitor and it's pads ripped off. No repair too small...

Hi I have an amiga 3000 motherboard for repair I have tried new chips everything. And no luck the Paula and Denise chips have soldered on the motherboard due to heavy battery corrosion leaks also traces has been repaired underneath and top of the motherboard new kickstart ROMs and and new battery fitted but still no luck just a black screen with waves of green slightly can I be possible for you to repair this for me if I can have a price to get this rework done that will be great thanks mark

Yes, I can give it a shot. A3000 motherboards are the most troublesome to repair when it comes to battery damage. Once I fixed a battery damaged A3000 that had leak (sticky gooey) practically under every chip on the left-hand side of the motherboard (Amber, Agnus, Paula, chip ram, ... side). Each chip (50 or so chips) had to be removed, board cleaned and corroded traces fixed. Not for the faint-hearted...

Amiga CD32 motherboard was received for repair and recapping. A few capacitors had begun to leak on the board. Some of the smd capacitors had been removed in previous repair attempt and a few pads lifted off the board in the process.


One trace under C854 was corroded broken due to capacitor leak and a few more around C864 and C890 were also damaged. Capacitor area was cleaned, reinforced with solder and broken trace repaired.


Missing pad repaired and new capacitors installed.

Amiga CD32 FMV module for recapping. The capacitors had not leaked on the board yet so the task was simply to replace the capacitors with new. The board was recapped with non-leaking polymer capacitors.

Cyberstorm PPC card arrived for a PPC processor upgrade. The CSPPC originally ran at 68060@50MHz and PPC 604e@233MHz. The PPC processor was replaced with a 400MHz version and processor speeds set to 68060@66MHz and PPC 604e@400MHz.
