Need a df0 floppy drive for a power tower 1200 with fascia

Maybe an Amiga 2000 drive would work if I use a twisted floppy cable

Amigakit used to sell one that had jumpers for ds0 ds1 but sold out

Based in UK and use paypal

Get a regular el cheapo unmodified PC drive and a regular flat 34-wire floppy cable. "A" means amiga end of the cable, "F" means floppy end of the cable.
Do the following modifications to the cable:

Cut in half wires #2 and #34, connect (solder) halves #2A and #34F together.
Cut away half #2F completely, and solder the ANODE of an 1N914 or 1N4148 diode to half #34A.

Strip a bit of the PVC coating from wire #8 so the metal core is exposed without cutting the wire in half. Solder the CATHODE of the diode there.

Cut in half wires #10 and #12, connect #10A and #12F together. Cut away #10F and #12A.

With this cable, practically any off-the-shelf PC drive will work as an Amiga df0: drive.
