CS MKII 100mhz

Could the ppl that have MKII running 50-75mhz with memory synced post some time demo from adoom?
Start adoom from shell with these.

I can do this later this week, once I'll get a card. Actually I can run this test for 50/66/75.

I'll give that test a go this evening if I get chance.

Please also add -cpu 68060 -mmu switches. You should get few extra fps. I also suggest screen mode PAL lowres full screen.
Not relevant for our tests but here are some results for A3660@66Mhz:) (16MB Fast ram onboard + 256MB ZIII BigRam Plus) The results are very poor - we can see how much fast ram on cpu board comes into play for fps games even though overall WB experience is very nice.

Soon I'll test it with MK2.

A3660@66MHz PAL lowres 7,9 fps (without -mmu and -cpu 5,7 fps)

A3660@66MHz CV64 320x200 8bit 8,4 fps (w/o -cpu and -mmu 6 fps)

btw
Is's kinda funny that we're using PC game to benchmark Amiga:)

CSMKII @ 75Mhz, in 060 mode, with -cpu 68060 -mmu switches 29.1 fps, without 28.9 fps

I'm not sure you're comparing the same demos - the guys above are using Doom2.

Ah, apologies, missed that, will fire up Doom 2 tomorrow and post the results.

Great job :)
Is there anything else we can benchmark so we can give the community more numbers if they are thinking about going 100mhz in 1:2 memory on the MKII or not?

Great job:) I was rather thinking that we'll get more fps on @75 1:1 rather than @100 1:2. Surprise surprise:) Time to test my Rev6 006 @100Mhz:)

Indeed, I'm thinking of giving the 040 mode a go myself, looks like running at 100Mhz with 1:2 isn't that bad... wonder if anything higher would be possible :?

When great minds work together :)
I have not seen any one go over 100mhz yet but who knows. Maby you just need to slap a 110 oscillator on there and it's rdy to rock :D

Just not to make things easier:) Finally I was able to test with my MKII. Still looks like @100MHz is the fastest, but what I've noticed is that 68060.library version makes a difference. With the latest Phase5 library I'm getting much better results, comparing to Thor's MuLibs. CV64 results just ignore.

Can someone benchmark hard drive speed using cyberscsi at 50 and 100mhz? Then compare to using whatever onboard amiga ide/scsi is available.

The important thing for me is being able to use cyberscsi which makes 100mhz a great choice.

Damn you Hal! Now I have more things to try out :D

Weird, i tried to do some more time demos but now the demo is just restarting after its finnished.
Before it automatically ended the time demo and i was kicked back to WB but not now, any sugestions?

I don't have SCSI setup but did some tests with a FastATA 4000 MK-VI a while back, these were using an old 30Gb Maxtor diamond max drive...

Wow, you got way better speeds then me, I can only run pio3 on my 2.5" 120gb WD disk

i dont think the scsi runs at 100mhz,i think its the same 50mhz

john will probably confirm

i think 100mhz is about 130 mips
