uploads probably failed because of the file size, try reducing the resolution.

How did you guys do this? I'm hoping Acill is able to OC mine as well :)

I guess if you half the frequency to the scsi board, cyberscsi will still work (that's how they do it in an '040). Fingers crossed!

It'd be interesting to see some benchmarks to observe the difference in system performance between those cyberstorm's clocked at 80-100mhz with half speed ram, and standard cyberstorm's clocked at 50-66mhz (or even 72-80mhz if you're lucky) with full speed memory.

Does the affect of slower memory on general system performance get offset by the big increase in cpu speed? Is it at all noticeable? Do games like Quake (which heavily rely on fpu and memory speed) see much improvement with an 80/40 cpu/mem clock over a straight 66/66 cpu/mem clock?

How does a 80/40 cyberstorm fair compared to a standard 72/72 cyberstorm?

I have not treid Quake yet but I can tell you this, you notice the difference even when using iBrowse :D

Does the machine feel much faster than when you ran it at 72mhz? A worthwhile upgrade? SCSI working ok at 100?

I have not used it more then say 1 hour or so but browsing the Web using iBrowse feels faster :)
The scsi will work when you run this at 100mhz

I'm not surprised by that. I compared a 50mhz 1:1 cyberstorm 2 to a 66mhz A3640 (with memory waitstate mod to remove 2 wait states) and the lower clocked cyberstorm was much much faster in quake and doom than the a3640 because of the nearly 3x better memory speed.

The MK3 have a 64bit memory access that the mk2 dosent have so even at stock speeds you will get a much better result in for example sysspeed if you benchmarks the memory

We need to find a person who have a mk2 running at 66-72mhz and do a benchmark with it :)

Here is a video from the same guy

As you guys can see there is almost no difference when running the MKII in 66 or 100Mhz, only the MKIII with the better memory speed makes the difference even when running the cpu itself at a lower mhz. So Doom is very dependent on mem speed thats for sure.

I have a 66mhz cyberstorm 2, I can do some benchmarks for you. What would you want me to run?

CSMKII @ 75Mhz rev6 68060, in 060 mode so memory is running at 1:1, this is a fast as this card will go...

Hard decision. I've 060 Rev6 with 006 mask, it should work @100Mhz with a half memory speed giving better performance in WB I suppose? On the other hand @75 with full memory speed will be faster in fps. What about card itself? I guess @100Mhz the card is less stressed as internal logic works @50Mhz. Are the MK2 GALS getting hot? This hw is rare nowadays so I wouldn't like to stress it too much.

We need to find some sort of benchmark or test that will be more like real life experience! For example package a file to lha or render something, it's just hard to measure the exact time when the program is not doing it for us :)

I agree, I should have MK2 060 later this week and I plan to run this @75Mhz 1:1 (and eventually to move to 1:2@100Mhz - but this depends on results). We can align on testing:)

I can only speak for my own experience.
Before I did this and was listening to mp3 thru my delfina and surfing the we with ibrowse and at the same time had wookie chat up and I moved the ibrowse window so it had to be redrawn. The music stopped until the window was completely redrawn.

Now when I run 100mhz the window redraws alot faster and the paus in music is almost gone
