Default Looking for a small C/C++/PHP editor fro windows

    Hello all

am looking for suggestions for a simple editor for windows 10
ive normally used textwrangler on macos so looking for a similar solution.

I don't need a full IDE just something small (install size) that I can use on my windows tablet (ideally free)

    Thanks all

I have been using Notepad++ for years now. UltraEdit is great too, but it is commercial.

Notepad++ is definitely a popular solution. I prefer Programmer's Notepad myself, it's a little more lightweight and a little less over-frilly.

If you want a very light weight and fast solution (no tabs etc.) and just need syntax highlighting for several different languages you'll really like Notepad2.
It certainly isn't as advanced as Notepad++ but it's really, really fast and a friendly editor (and a big step-up from just Notepad which it replaces on install).

    And it's free. Open source.

Sublime Text. Not free but well worth it. It is quick, clean and light but loaded with features and expandable with plugins.
