Closed PCI sound card Yamaha YMF724

As title looking to add dos/Win98 sound blaster / OPL support for a pc with only 1 PCI slot. mainly to run doom / duke3d / and other dos Soundblaster / OPL2/3 Adlib games.

reading up it seems the Yamaha is the better of the evils of PCI sound,

Aureals Vortex 2 and the early ES1370 PCI cards seem to work but have Horrid OPL emulation and / or just plain crash in some games mainly Doom.

if you have one (I did have one but cant find it, i think I gave it away with my SBPCI128 Doh!!) oh well.

thanks for the offer but I found an Aureal Vortex 2 which is perfect and I plugged in a dreamblaster s2 wavetable.

works with Doom etc in pure dos.
