found this beauty yesterday & it's fully populated & in pristine condition I remember going to the Comspec main office as a teenager every weekend since it was only a 10 minute bike ride from my house..good times.

I've got kippers internal ram card & it's great too but there's just something extra special about the classic side cars that make me grin

Recieved a collector's Edition Tomb Raider game today but it was sent in a box that was too large and had no additional packaging so the tin is dented and damaged on all sides Being returned tomorrow.
However i also recieved a standard copy of the same game and have been playing it today

Default MagicBox Alphagen

I got this MagicBox several months ago but haven't had time to post this until today. This is one of the most economical ways to get an Amiga 1200.

It comes with the following:
PC keyboard adapter
HD floppy
Harddrive
CD-ROM
Accelerator Mk2 (Typhoon I believe)
Total 6MB ram
Nice brushed metal case
Coxial output jack
Presentation software that use to be used at local/community TV stations for displaying bulletins, etc.

Downside
PCMCIA slot is not reachable
May be tight fit to get the accelerator card out to add ram.

I don't see these around too much. This one was used at conventions to run greetings/bulletins on TVs. Still has the last info up! The software reminds me somewhat of PowerPoint in it's features and capabilities. With the advent of digital TV the use of these dried up.

Well, having gotten both my tax refund for 2012 and my mid-month "playcheck," I'm afraid I went a little crazy indulging in some of the MIDI modules I've been wanting to get for a good while...

Yamaha TX-81Z

4-operator FM with some bonus features, rather like an upgraded Sega Genesis. It's not as on-the-fly versatile as more modern MIDI gear (there's a very noticeable delay when changing instruments in the middle of a song,) but still, you can't beat those classic FM tones

Korg 05R/W

I'm not normally a huge fan of wavetable synthesizers (give me something with settings to twiddle anyday,) but I heard SynthMania's demo recordings of this thing and I kinda fell in love. How did MIDI go from this to that crappy Roland patch set that Windows doesn't even want you to switch away from anymore?

microKORG

The closest I'll probably ever get to a Minimoog, at least in hardware. I love anything I can twiddle dials and press buttons on, and the microKORG produces some really amazing sounds for a two-oscillator synth. The vocoder should be fun to play with as well

I'm also thinking of getting a Yamaha AWM-based module (FM with sampled components - basically, Roland LA : analog subtractive :: Yamaha AWM : classic FM,) but we'll see. Between these and my MT-32, I'm getting a pretty nice setup together

Also nabbed a Wacom ArtPad II for my Amiga:

If I can get my scanner working with the A1200 (there's a driver on Aminet that supports the SCSI version, but mine is SCSI over parallel-port...) then I'll have a pretty decent art-ing setup

Never heard of these, is it a USA thing only?
