Hey guys, I finally got my Power Mac G4 MDD up and running. First thing was to install Tiger, which had to be done in Target Disk Mode because this baby doesn't have an internal disk drive (that works). So, after doing that, I thought "Well, I need more RAM, but for now, lets OC it to 1.5 Ghz. So, following a guide on bitsandpieces.info, I debridged a set of 5 pads and bridged a new contact to tune up the CPU speed from 1.25 to 1.5. I have attached some HW Pr0n for Zetr0 and the other pervs. Just to let you know, the guide is Multipliers and I have 512m ram so far. I am also a fan of Daft Punk so I attached a Desktop photo. Enjoy!

PS: on single CPUs, the PLL_EXT is PLL 4 :)

If you need ram, still have old stock. (probably)

I am currently enjoying mac os x on my thinpad t43 just to run lightroom and photoshop.

It seems that after you get the right drivers mac os x does not need mac hardware anymore.:woot: Still got some issue with wireless, but that can be fixed...

Excellent :D

Target disk mode is an absolute win of an invention: every laptop/computer/thing with a disk in it should have it...

It saved me last week :D

I don't know how many times I've had my bacon saved by Target Disk Mode, or SCSI Disk Mode (as it was called in the olden days) :)

I've even booted an iMac off a MacBook Pro in TD mode, that's pretty cool.

iMac intel i presume?

Yeah, I also get about 31º C average doing most non-gaming stuff, 34 for gaming :)

iMac intel i presume?

It would have to be, to boot off a MBP (Although it might have been a PPC iMac and Powerbook) -- Due to differing partition schemes, you can't boot a PPC Mac from an x86 disk (or vice-versa)
