This (PAL) motherboard has ceramic EPROMs (more reliable than the old original ROMs) and a selectable resident RAM expansion!
new features: cartridge autostart will be ignored at startup pressing a key and the fire button on joystick.
With a switch is possible chose three different configuration:
1) default: a normal VIC20
2) +3K RAM (like a VIC-1210), new features:+8K RAM in BLK5 (useful for load on it a cartridge image)
3) +16K RAM (like a VIC-1111)
But.... the VIC20 cartridge slot is free!
Remember that the VIC20 organize the "basic", "color" and "screen" memory areas depending on the RAM recognized at startup:
through the switch position you can chose one of ALL possible memory organization! (read the link)

The switch is soldered on motherboard (no holes on your VIC20!) and is selectable through the slot of Datassette connector with a screwdriver/pen/toothpick/paper clips.....
I have 2 motherboards: If you have a VIC chip MOS6561 I can send the motherboard without VIC CHIP, otherwise I can send the other one (with VIC CHIP).
