Ordered a 68882 fancy playing with some rendering. My 1230-IV card sports a 50mhz CPU but from what I understand the 40mhz ones happily overclock so hopefully it'll be suitable.

You have nothing to worry about Cloudane,

I have a 1230 Mk IV with a 33 mhz fpu.... overclocked to 60 mhz. It gets warm, nothing more.

Same way you overclock a CPU - run it at a higher clock speed than its official (manufacturer supported) rating

The Bliz Mk.IV is at a fixed 50Mhz for CPU and FPU synced. I believe with the older ones you change crystals and jumpers and things.

That's awesome! I wonder if you could do the CPU in a similar way? It'd be pretty damn epic if you could!
Thinking about accelerating your A1200? Check out my buyer's guide.

Recieved them a few days ago and tested them all, all 4 okay
Now to get the crystals up.
                            Leaving feedback.
