Hi nick-d
I am in Melbourne and was wondering if you would be able to replace the time keeper chip in a Phillips CD-i player?? Its a mongrel of a chip that has the battery inside it and keeps game save data ect in memory. I managed to buy a few time keeper chips on ebay many moons ago as...
Whats unbeknown to me is, why would one want to email pics to multiple people which is far more time consuming than posting a few one off pics and be done with it. You could potentially have dozens of interested people a day and emailing pics to them all is far more time consuming.
Just want to say a big thank you to AmmoJammo for recapping my Sega Game Gears. They are now working like they did the day i got them many many years ago. I recently bought another Game Gear which i will be sending your way again for recapping.
Cheers
I have 2. They both have no sound and the screen is very dark and fuzzy. As of late, the power now flicks on and off for a few minutes, before it stays on constantly when i power them on for the first time.
Hi,
I have a few Sega Game gears that need repair. They all suffer from no audio and the screen is really dark and fuzzy looking. I believe that the caps need replacing??? Is there anyone here that lives in Melbourne that can do the repair??
This sounds logical. So Vista being the least liked and used of XP, 7 and 8.1, then i guess that will make it less of a target.

I may install Linux on my spare PC and have a bit of a play with it. I tried Linux a long time ago and did not like it, but i am hearing a lot of...
Thanks for all your input guys. I really appreciate it. Just before the weekend i was dead set against upgrading my OS, but then on the weekend after researching this whole no support for XP thing, it sort of scared me. There is a lot of talk about how XP is going to be high on the hit list of...
That's right. The machine wont be used for anything other than online shopping and banking, and from what i have read about how bad Vista is, the one thing people say is that it is more secure than XP.
Now that Microsoft will not be supporting Windows XP anymore, today i was thinking about maybe installing Windows Vista on the computer that i use for online banking and shopping. The reason i was thinking this is because Microsoft will still support Vista for another 3 or so years (if i read...
After much research about the end of XP support and how it will now be vulnerable to attack, i am reluctantly going to upgrade one of my PC's to Windows 7. This PC i use only for online banking, online purchases, eBay, PayPal etc etc, so i should not have any issues with drivers and hardware as...
Just got on for the first time since the upgrade and i must say, i like it!!! It feels a tad bit sluggish compared to the old site, but that's something i will get used too. The only negative i have with the upgrade so far is that it looks horrible and is very painful to navigate around when...
Thats good to hear that sites are being made more efficient these days. Unfortunately most kids site's are not.
I also wont argue the fact that more people get on here with mobile devices than they do Amiga's. I guess we'll have to wait and see how the new Amibay looks and feels. Regardless...
I wasnt really laughing it off as a dig. I just find what you said ironic considering this is a web site dedicated for hardware and software that is nearly 30 years old.
Ok the root of the problem with your argument here is that you are mixing business with pleasure. Everybody knows you must...
Your words are very amusing. You sarcastically and indirectly take a dig at people that dont like change, and at those who may still be using Window's XP today, yet this is a site dedicated to people who still use their 20+ year old Amiga's for everyday use including internet browsing with...
