    I have som weirdness to report. On C64-II it works fine. On my C64, I get the update error screen from post #32, but only when the IEC-Cable is plugged in! Without the cable, the UK1541 boots fine. Tried it with different cards (FAT32, SDHC). Without the cable, the UK1541 is rather useless...
