Atari 800 Model / Raspberry Pi Case

:-) Thanks for the advice... ...I would certainly want to use other's models where I can - making this was too much like hard work. And don't worry about my butchering a real 800, if I did find one for a sensible price it would be well looked-after... well maybe the odd upgrade. ;-)

Atari 800 Model / Raspberry Pi Case

Just a quickie: I'd quite like an original Atari 800, but not at the prices they currently fetch! Ho-hum, maybe a Raspberry Pi case could be fun - I wonder if there are any good models on Thingyverse? Nope! Ok... I'll make one myself, how hard can it be..? -A Long Time Later- I've tried...

USB Lamp and Blue Tooth Speaker Project

Hello all... Back again, my sincere apologies to everyone who's tried to get in touch with me recently. I promise to catch up on my backlog as soon as I can. I've been experimenting with 3D design and bought a 3D printer kit to fiddle with... -3D Printing is pretty fun and building one of the...

Kefalonia: An island of beauty, and innuendo

@Harrison: Another Kefalonia fan! :-D Glad you liked my paintings. :-) #1) From the Top of Mt Ainos looking toward Spartia (away from Skala) #2) Assos. The person is an old friend I painted in because as Bob Ross would say "It's your world..." #3) Fiskado #4) Kavaromilos lake, between Sami...

    Z80-based C/PM Computer..?

Thanks for that, I had completely forgotten. I shall go have a thorough read... I suspect 'my' system just became obsolete before I even built one! :-D PS Z80 SPI interface: http://www.ecstaticlyrics.com/electronics/SPI/fast_z80_interface.html ...Gameduino uses SPI

    Z80-based C/PM Computer..?

Hello all, In a recent thread I mentioned how I was perusing an 80 column card for my COLECO ADAM so I'd be able to run CP/M on it... for no good reason. Said upgrades are basically unobtainable so how to do my own..? Moving on I came up with a serial to PS/2 and Video board (aka: hardware...

Kefalonia: An island of beauty, and innuendo

:-) Sadly I didn't make it to the Amibay do... Family stuff. But as you're not going until October I'm glad there's still time to possibly meet up before you leave for pastures new.

Kefalonia: An island of beauty, and innuendo

Just back from a couple of weeks away. Greece, and Kefalonia in particular, is one of my favourite places in the world. (Very jealous Bas) It also has it's hidden depths: Did you know it's largest mountain is Mt Ainos, which happens to be next to Mt Roudi... funny that. Pine trees, wild horses...

Serial to PS/2 and Video Board

Here's a little do-dad: I'd quite like to get CP/M running on my COLECO ADAM for giggles, but would need an 80 column upgrade to do it justice. 80 column board for the ADAM? Hah! No chance... But if I understand correctly said upgrade is really just a hardware serial console. Now I can't find...

Mockingboard Development: Would anyone be interested in doin a samity check..?

Hello All. I wonder if I might ask a favour? I'm still very much feeling my way in the old PCB design business. Among my happy surprises is my managing to make a functioning Mockingboard clone - a dual AY-3-8913 based sound card for the Apple II. Flushed with success I thought I'd incorporate...

    Why do computers hate me?

I don't know... You give them a home, tart them up a bit, given them pressies in the shape of upgrades, and all the reward you get is 'bzzt' followed by a release of magic smoke. Oh, and a burnt finger. The last 36hours: Apple IIe platinum: popped my last LS245, popped two 6551s (maybe my fault...

:-) Thanks for that. If you don't mind pm'ing me that link I'd really appreciate it - that's a way better price than my rubbish searching turned up.

    R6551P Advice please

Hello fellow Amibayers, i wonder if I might tap your collective thoughts for some advice. Among my little projects is the A2Pi board I keep banging on about - for those not in the know it allows a Raspberry Pi to be interfaced to an Apple II via a serial link. The result is all the upgrade any...
