Post here everytime you get something new!

Well, it's a bit of a stretch to claim that I "got" this today, as I've had the parts and the project going on for a little while, but I did finish it yesterday. I present for your viewing entertainment, the latest addition to the Franken500... A plipbox. Probably not the best arrangement of...

    Game Gear White screen?

Hello folks, I picked up a broken Game Gear a while back to try and resurrect once I'd gotten used to waving a soldering iron around again. Having built a few DIY project kits and fixed a couple of things around the house, I decided it was time to have a bash at this thing a couple...

    Closed TZX/TAP/CAS-Duino Kit

That's not a terrible idea. I had actually come across that very listing this morning but it never occurred to me to do it that way :) If nothing is forthcoming, I might give that a go!

    Closed TZX/TAP/CAS-Duino Kit

Hi folks, If anyone has for sale a TAPuino/compatible kit, for self assembly, I'd be most interested in hearing your price. To be clear, I'd like the components to assemble myself. I've had a look around online and whilst I can find kit lists here and build guides there and parts...

Probably the worst soldering you've seen today. Maybe ever.

Probably the worst soldering you've seen today. Maybe ever.

Thanks Hlide! As it happens, Mrs. Cheez is a great gal. When I showed her she said "You've missed a trick here, you should have saved that for valentines day." I tried to give it to her then and there and she told me to put it away til Valentine's. So yeah, that's a thing.

Greetings fine, assembled Gurus, Genii and gentlefolk. I present for your viewing pleasure my first ever completed electronics project. Assembled from parts in a meagre ten hours, this incredible device will mesmerise you with its blinking lights and, er, blinking lights. Pictures at the end...

Can anyone recommend a beginners guide or starters kit to soldering?

I had something a little like this growing up in the 80's https://www.electronickits.com/elenco-mx908-300-1-electronics-learning-lab/ Not the same make or mdeol, but the same concept, a bunch of components laid out with spring connectors and a big book of fun and interesting projects, with...

Pretty cool. I'm a backer on the Joejam and Earl remake kickstarter. That should be ready soon, I'm pretty excited about that, if not just for the music!
