Amiga hardware (especially 1200) prices going nuts

During Covid things like toy collecting, hobbys, retro gaming and so on grew a lot - and so did prices. I am personally tired of the retro bubble (because not all old things are great) and hope it bursts soon as it has kept inflating prices. I mean you could not give away an A500 for free here...

    Sold Omega Projects Sound Enhancer

The chip is probably an LM358 if its the chip that is broken (the other Sound enhancer uses that).

Fan and heat sink for BFG 9060

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32817040579.html + quality double sided thermal tape (or just use any old 486-P1 heatsink/fan and upgrade the fan to a modern Noctua 5v version and wire that up to the BFG)

    PC-Task vs. Bridgeboard

I tend to run 1280x720 (at least 16bit on Z3/256 colors on Z2) since IMHO WB does not scale that well on higher resolutions, that way I get widescreen resolution which is nice with DOpus5 and not too hard on eyes.

    PC-Task vs. Bridgeboard

I have the parts in my order list, however yesterday I was thinking, would it be able to handle higher resolutions on the Amiga side (higher than 1024x768), I get the feeling its not designed for RTG cards and more for regular Amiga output to a multisync monitor. Did you get the Max chip from...

    PC-Task vs. Bridgeboard

@YouKnowWho I was thinking the same thing... not that I know what to do with it TBH... well another reason to get another big box (lol). Btw, looked the schematics for the monitor switcher, does not actually look that difficult to build but I am up and above my ears with projects right now.

    PC-Task vs. Bridgeboard

I have seen mentions of clones of it on Discord, lets just keep it at that ;) I have seen that file but did not realise there was a schematic in it. Since I have multiple big boxes and both VGA/HDMI setups I want one. Not sure my skills can draw it up in KiCad or what it is called lol, would...

    PC-Task vs. Bridgeboard

Anyone have that auto switch or instructions on how to build one? Also the GG+ card that just enable ISA slots for a NIC (and that obscure MP3 ISA card) has been cloned, I think it was made by some Swede, I have been trying to track one down but have failed.

The ZZ9000 and its ZZ9000AX card

Sweet, will order a few PCBs and build the SIDBlaster. I have the Z2SID card (v2) but so far while I have got it working it is too noisy and unusable on my systems (will try to fix it though). Much prefer real SID than emulated SID, had a HardSID ISA BITD blew me away sound quality wise.

The ZZ9000 and its ZZ9000AX card

Sorry for steering the thread away.... I have looked into the SIDBlaster but havent found that much info around it specifically for Amiga use. Is the only things you need to get it going in an Amiga an USB card and this playsid.library (https://github.com/erique/playsid.library) - Are you happy...

The ZZ9000 and its ZZ9000AX card

Can confirm ZZ9000AX output is slightly lower than Paula output, strange I did not notice that before. Could perhaps solve it by running both outputs through a mixer. Or could you change to lower resistors on the A4000 motherboard to increase sound level from audio in?

The ZZ9000 and its ZZ9000AX card

Did not know that, need to doubble check that next time I have the system running. I did not notice it when playing MP3s or using AHI. Will check later today.

The ZZ9000 and its ZZ9000AX card

I had a ZZ9000AX that had a background noise, you could her bus activity get mixed in and a loud noise in the background. I sent it back to MNT and they confirmed it was broken. Then I got a replacement, and it was quiet (no background noises) - but the problem I had with it was that all...
