I presume you have a FDD connected to the DDI so The drive light should come on no matter what. Have you checked the fuse in the plug. Until you sort this I would not worry about the belt. Once you have the drive powered up a new belt can be found on a buy now here...

The Amstrad CPC 464 had different types and sizes of motherboard so the cases were not the same. What is the motherboard you have so that you get the right case type?

If an Echeque had been sent it could mean your backup source (eg credit / visa card) had expired. The wife did something similar, made the payment with out realising her card had expired and so had to wait for the echeque to clear which always takes longing than the date they give originally.

What might help is that you haven't mentioned what type as there are 2 types of keyboard. One with high keys (original type keyboards) that pushes on to a cross stud and the other lower type that clips in.
