A final update for anyone interested. On May 1st Amedia Computer stated they had refunded my account, but no refund was present. I waited a few hours before replying, asking if paypal needed to be involved. By lunchtime May 2nd, no response from Amedia Computer and still no refund, I escalated...

A quick update. Amedia Computer received the return on Wednesday 26th April at 12:25, but no sign of a refund. Now I am forced to open a paypal dispute with them over this. Not happy. - - - Updated - - - and I gained a quick response from the dispute, if only they were as quick to refund...
