@hese Here's a quick picture of the area where I actually saw smoke coming out from... it may have been a short in the HD led pin header... and that's where this smell of burned electronics comes from...so, hopefully it's something there only... :-(

Hi, due to a stupid accident last night, it looks like I killed the SCSI controller chip on a rev 2.4 Fastlane Z3 SCSI board. Ram seems to be OK, it's 'visible' to the OS, it's also possible to query the z3scsi.device and check the rom version... it's not possible to boot...

It appears to be a pretty common base at the time... compatible with many monitors, so, if you didn't buy this one... keep looking.. don't look for...
Not that. I have one for sale but... I was under the same situation a few months ago and found an exact match on eBay... the base of this Dell monitor is exactly the same as the Commodore 1960.
