Are you using a Furia accelerator?
If so, grab the furiatune program and add it to your startup-sequence and use its maprom functionality for a nice boost.
The program also supports an ide boost option (not always compatible) you can try for an additional boost.
For me, this takes things to a...
The TF is a much smaller card.
The TK benchmarks a little faster and has a much faster oktagon ide controller that can transfer as much as 10MB/sec. The TF emulates Gayle and will require you to map Kickstart to RAM to go as high as 3MB/sec, but more like 1.5MB/sec without.
The TF has a...
I just want to chime in and confirm this works with Rev. 5 Amiga 500 motherboards.
Mine is an NTSC model, but I have since replaced the oscillator with a socket and PAL (28.37516Mhz) speed. This was not required for this to work, but since I could only source he PAL Agnus, I went with the...
There are no sensible solutions to USB/LAN on an A1000 that I'm aware of. If you instead opt for the TF534, it will have an SPI port that should get support for cheap Arduino LAN adapters at some point. I don't believe you will have this option with a TK.
Ah, yes. Our beloved Amiga 1000.
For starters, you could build yourself a D.I.Y kickstart switch / relocator and then wait for the TF534 (the TF530 is too little RAM for the A1000 to be useful.) @DJCook can produce both of those for you on this forum. The only drawback to this combination is...
Megachip for A500, A2000, and CDTV (rj1307 project, Poland)
There’s no risk. NTSC Amiga Rev 5 works fine, even if you leave the NTSC oscillator in place.
No 8375 NTSC Agnus have been tested with this adapter, but they should work just the same.
[Edit]. Okay, there’s always risk. ;)
The chip RAM modifications to your A500 should have no effect here.
The pin that is blocked can be bent out of the way and that cable used without issue. The extra pin is sometimes used to send power to some boards and is not relevant here anyway if your externally powering that Cf adapter...
