Do you need the cartridge to load these back on a real machine or is working similar how WAV-PRG can convert t64 and prg files to Fast Turbo tap? (prepending a turbo loader before the actual program in TAP) How fast is this actually? I think Tapuino could easily cope with the fastest loaders...

That's why i suggested a separate cuesheet file, since even file offsets listed seprately would help solving this. This way you don't have to calculate everything, just read the cue file if it presents and make it possible to jump to specific cue sheet entry when the file is loaded. The cuesheet...

Moving to a specific position could done the same way as cue files are being used with audio CD images, pointing to a specific sample offset (in our case Tap impulse). However I'm not aware of any service which offers such cue sheets with tap files. So I think we are the first one thinking about...

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

I'm a bit confused with the new wiring. If i understood correctly, wiring-wise it's simple as directly connecting the C64's edge connector with the Tapuino and the dataset and Tapuino does the signal inverting when recording happens from/to the real dataset to/from the Tapuino. What happens if i...

A friend of mine is interested in the project as well. So prepare for more :D

Had an idea that might the female jumper cables could be directly plugged into the edge connector I've bought for the tape port before, and luckily it fits it like a glove. :) Also I was capable of replacing the opto-coupler with the BS170 MOSFET. It's working, although i don't know if it's...

Luckily my roommate had some momentary switches he ordered for his other projects but never used them. :D So i could assemble the project as far as everything is ready, except the C64 interfacing part. My soldering skills definitely needs some improvement, but everything so far Nano pin-wise...

My things arrived from TxHang so the delivery time was really two weeks. What i didn't checked though is that all electronic stores in my area are closed the whole week because of summer holidays. :( I'm a bit mad because I'm on holiday aswell so would had a lot of free time to assemble it. I...

Nice. An updated wiring with the dataset is arriving soon then. Hopefully my stuff arrive this week. Stephenfalken: what are the dimension of the instrument box you have used? I found a local store where they have these in big variety size-wise.

Nice. Then this is already solved. A look on your modification wiring-wise would be interesting but i still don't have even the basic Tapuino so it's not a problem for me to wait for Peter's official dataset handling addition and go that way :) Still, very nice, congratulations! :)

Amazing work stephenfalken! I really hope my stuff will arrive soon and i can build this thing on my own since i would like to test it already :) One improvement came onto my mind. It would be really nice for Tapuino to allow passthrough mode of the dataset to the C64 so you don't have to...
