There’s an ongoing convo on fb about the sources for this conversion. Looked like there might be some copyright issues. Don’t know to which extent this interferes with a port.

Those are no tantalums but ceramics. check for continuity from battery + to c701 as seen in the picture. Guess you'll find the problem there.
