Yeah, it makes no difference on the A500. The A1200 I've got has a CF hard disk, and the battery on the accelerator card has leaked out, but it doesn't seem to have corroded anything, so I'll remove that too. Probably will put a replacement on that.

Duly noted then. I'll get on to that this weekend before it's too late. I dunno if I'm immediately worried about putting a replacement battery in though.

It's a great little film. You get some fleeting glimpses at what could've been too.

OK, closure. I made some cables up. One was wired up with the wiring loom with the Gonbes board, the other is a 23-pin to 15-pin cable, which is a wee bit neater. They ain't pretty, but they do work, so that's something. :)

I definitely need to get the battery out then, before it does go bad on me. I noticed the accelerator in my A1200 has a battery hiding under a little rubber cap which seems to have leaked, so that also needs removing and cleaning.
