I was under the impression that the GAL was the larger square chip. (I apologize, I'm still learning AMIGA / Old hardware). You're saying the GAL can replace the PAL and still operate the same?

GAL sadly won't fit where I need the chip on the daughter board. Thank you for the offer though :)

I'm very interested in purchasing this. I just recently bought an Amiga 1000 and someone recommended this as an expansion for it. I know the title says it's for the A500 but do you know if it would fit the A1000?
