Hi, You can use a component cable for PS2 , and you plug it into a video card with VGA output. I had the GBS8200 and it worked nicely on my Samsung computer monitor in VGA. You can find the GBS8200 or GBS8220 on ebay , they are very cheap.

Did you try to replace the capacitors from the sound part ? I had no sound at all on a Super Famicom , I replaced all capacitors and now it's working. If this doesn't help , you can try to do a reflow on the sound chip with a heat gun.
