You are correct Peri, not sure you'd have enough space to fit "Commodore ====== 64 VIC-II²" with the multi-colour bit in between though so may have to be "C64 ====== VIC-II²"? , I'll await the prototype examples ;)
Any chance of a more thorough test video showing various Pal/Ntsc titles? Also think it would be a good idea to design/release a new case badge to identify C64 VIC-II² machines.
There's another advantage to having this solution - one day somebody will come up with an FPGA VICII, with this board we'll then have the ability to switch between authentic VICII and FPGA VICII.
Is it still possible to add a circuit that outputs 50 or 60Hz so that the TOD works properly? Were only talking about a handful of titles that use this for timing but it will mean 100% compatibility.

Hi Chris, Iv'e been banging on about the possibility of this for years over on Lemon64 so glad to see someone give it a serious attempt at bringing it to fruition, obviously were all now waiting for the "proof of concept" video on your Retro Recipes Youtube channel, so if it works and the price...
I know that's a possibility, just want the heatsink for the authentic look, I wonder if there's a similar heatsink out there I could use to craft one myself.
