Current drive having difficulty reading disks. Would be open to doing $ + trade of A1000 floppy drive to be repaired. I am located in United States (Massachusetts) and would like to keep this within the states to cut down on shipping costs.

Hard to tell from the pictures but how easy is it to use the selector buttons when installed and also how much more effort would it be to change that to a rotary dial? The shipping is high to the US but would consider this as my internal A1200 floppy is finicky.

Would just to clarify that when using a PC floppy with the correct jumpers then I would be able to read & write to the drive as if it were an Amiga drive meaning it is fully compatible with writing Amiga formatted disks? Also would it be possible to have this fit within a case along with an...

I don’t think I need to make any modifications from what I read other than cutting a trace to get the ram from the expansion bay to read as chip. If I can’t find someone local (In the US) that has one to sell then I will reach out to you. Thanks
