To get rid of a non working screen mode you need to delete screenmode.prefs. If you're using ClassicWB you can boot holding the right mouse button and select "Minimal Startup" (or something similar), delete the prefs file and then reboot normally. The monitor saves automatically different...

I tested it with 3 different monitors/TV using only HDMI and the behaviour is always the same. I tried another power supply as suggested, no changes. Definetely a faulty unit.

Thanks chinnyhill10, i will try another PSU as soon as possible. I did some more test using the stock PSU on a ps2 slim, the image quality is a bit better but the screen is vertically stretched (i can't see entirely the upper and the lower portion of the screen), the colors are over saturated...
