Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

I haven't installed a buzzer into my own build. Thats a noise that would bring on a feeling of nostalgia for about 2 minutes before i'd get tired of hearing it. So I can't make much of a suggestion here. But I will suggest that if you are using an Active buzzer you will need to ensure you have...

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

Good work, and well worth noting for anyone else that finds themselves with this I2C board on their LCD. Have you got the device plugged into your C64 yet?

In short... Your not going to know the difference. Get any one of them and they'll work The longer... The "ATmega328P" version of the ATMega328 is simply a more Power efficient version of the original ATMega328. You might see other variations such as ATmega328P-AU ATmega328P-PU These...

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

I have encountered 2 or 3 TAP files that have had the same problem. They work in Vice, but don't work using the Tapuino. However I have found alternate sources for the particular TAP files which have worked on both. I'm willing to believe that it's not an issue with the Tapuino but rather the...

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

Hi Detik I would suggest taking a close look at your wiring to the Motor pin and your Opto-coupler. It’s a possibly that the motor signal from the C64 isn’t making it to the Arduino hence the progress remains at 0% and forever waiting for when it should begin rolling the tape.

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

Hi Dan Nice build you've put together there. You're on the right track looking at the on/off jumper if you are looking for a no fuss way of dimming your LCD backlight. There is no perfect answer to what value resistor you should try as we're not going to know the level of brightness you're...

Tapuino, the $20 C64 Tape Emulator

Hi all, First of all thank you Sweetlilmre and all that have contributed to this incredible project. After recently blowing the dust off me C64's again I decided I needed a modern option for loading my games. As my poor old tapes and disks being 3 decades old are rapidly deteriorating. I...
