I have just checked out that adventure online - unfortunately it does not seem to be it. In the German game you could open the gate right in the first scene, whereas here it seems you have to get into the castle by another way and only can open the gate/drawbridge from the inside? Thanks again!

Thank you - yes that could be it. Was there a German-language version? I googled but could not find any info on this. The (German) parser was very simple, you really had to type object names in as the programmer had thought of them, no use for synonyms.
