The board has more in common with an A4000 than an A3000, it isn't advisable to sacrifice a working A3000 for this build. The A3000 ICs used were readily available when I built mine, things may have changed since then, but the sentiment stands.

You just remove two of the pins. Do not physically modify the connector. I had the same question when I built mine.

Do you have an accelerator? I had issues mounting my A3660. My case is either slightly bent (it was, but I thought I put everything back in its place) or the CPU slot is placed towards that back ~2mm.

I received a BigRamPlus from iComp today and it works without issue in conjunction with the Prometheus.

You do not need the logic for U893 as extended Fast Ram support will be coming in a later revision of the motherboard. According to Hese the PAL will need to be a larger type. I do not have this IC populated and everything works as expected (up to 16MB on the motherboard).

I will use the same custom 1MB 3.1.4 from my A3000 with a ROMY installed, as I have an 060 card and extended partition sizes. I don't know if it should be customized further for the additional features the AA3000+ supports.
