A2000 keyboard with Commodore key

Hi,

I'm looking for a Swedish (preferred) or German A2000 keyboard with the Commodore key. Or basically it could be some other language too as long as it has the small return and left shift (and the commodore key :-).

Mate, if you actually have an A2000 keyboard you can just grab the C= key from a dead C64/128 keyboard and swap the keycaps.

Ah, the commodore key is not the reason why I want one, it's just an easy way of recognising this particular brand of Amiga keyboard.

These keyboards are not like the Mitsumi keyboards you're thinking about, but they are special to me and I want one for each Amiga I regularly use.

Come to think of it, I'm also interested in A500 keyboards like this. Please offer if you have them and are not using them. :-)

I too have a slight obsession with these keyboards: I don't suppose you have a spare F3 key, do you? :D

They're different because, unlike all other Amiga keyboards I've come across, they are individual key switches rather than membrane based...

Consequently the key caps are different to a membrane keyboard.

I have one keyboard for a 500, and the action is beautiful.

Yeah, the Cherry keyboard is awesome. Too bad it is rare and hard to find.

IIRC, they where only shipped with earlier rev3 A500 & German A2000s...

They sound like the old IBM one's I still have one of those I called it clickty klack the wife hated that one..:wooha:

I think you're right - my first A500 had the commodore key and wonderful keyboard, plus Red LED that went out completely (not just dimmed)... There's not many around.

I've managed to get a keyboard with the right action and commodore keys, however I now need to get an F3 keycap for it - and it looks like Jope might be able to help :D .

I also own one of these rare keyboards. But it's one
specially for the A3000. It has the C= key and the
Caps-Lock light is red instead of the usual green.
On the back it says:

I've only seen these in machines that were made in 1987, namely old A2000s and Rev 3 A500s. They were obviously more expensive than the Mitsumi keyboards that replaced them.

The Cherry A2000A keyboards with the gaps between the space bar and the amiga keys are probably the rarest Amiga keyboard, as they were made only for the A2000 and didn't last for much more than a year. ( http://jope.fi/amiga/amikbd/cherryfull.jpg )

The NME keyboards that I'm looking for in this thread are a bit more common, but rare nevertheless.

Is this one of the rare types?
