I had a really dead A1200 like bits fallen off the bored and cracked etc just dead dead :( and iv been using WinUAE but it never felt right without looking at the Amiga logo etc
So using the case I decided to put a keybored inside and turn it into a WinUAE -make-better-er lol
Complete waste of time and effort but it amuses me slightly lol

Dont suppose you would mind doing a step by step on how you did the dremelling?
I thought of doing some kind of wiring to the orig keyboard or using something like keyrah but when I came to look at the Amiga someone had pinched the keyboard from it :( I hadnt looked at it for about 3 years till last week.
All I had left from it was the case and a very knackered board :(
I think its a fail to modding :( lol A very big epic fail haha I dont think im at the smallville - watchtower standards yet :( haha

Invest in an old beige PC keyboard, cut some plastic out of it and splice the Amiga logo into that space. A bit of 2 part epoxy to hide the joins and a coat of paint would help too.
Or locate an old Mitsumi keyboard (not necessarily old! :blink: ) and sack the two Amiga keys from a dead Amiga keyboard and replace the winblows ones with those.
Yes, even actual Mitsumi keyboards still uses the same retaining system.:blink:
