Amiga 4000 (D Revision) 030 or 040

I am new here as I am currently without an Amiga as my dad cleaned up the loft and sold my mint A4000 030 (with 060 Stormbringer) which was packed airtight and white as ever for a few bucks on a flee market for 100 euros.. he though it was good deal since it was 15 years old anyhow :banghead:

After screaming my lungs out :overactor: I got my act together and am now looking for an A4000 either 030 or 040 but stock. I would like to have a Rev. D with on-board CPU, FPU socket and a replaceable Lithium Ion battery, but if it were to be a different revision without acid all over the board :Doh: then this would be good too!

Just to comment.....

Why you don't consider to buy one Rev B?

It's possible to find more units and is more affordable to repair. Like for any A4K, you have a "big" stock of CPU boards (from 30 to 60 & PPC's), refurbished mobos,...... available in the "market"....

Last question... you have a monitor compatible with 15Khz amiga? if not you also need an Scandoubler/FF or a good RGB to scart lead......

I could of course go for a Revision B and fix the battery, but I would need someone to do this and the problem I have right now is that for the coming 6-9 months, I am living in Denmark (I am Dutch) and there is literally 'nothing decent' out here in terms of hardware support.. even regular shops for the 'nowadays' systems kinda blow big time.

So I am rusty and didn't follow the 'Post Commodore' developments but are B-Revision fixable with a replaceable CR type battery? If yes, the Rev-B and best one that has been revised would be cool.

I would go for an Indivision AGA 4000 Scandoubler such that I can use a modern TFT screen and can in fact play games/demos and not only WB activity to be visible. besides.. shipping a CRT will be too expensive for what it is worth. In the old days I had a MacroSystems FlickerFixer.. but I prefer the solution from Indivision when reading the specs.
